Parth Srivastava Takes 'Kahaniyan' To Mumbai, Delhi And Pune On His First Headline Tour
The Kanpur-born singer, composer and qualified lawyer plays 90-minute sets with a live band between 30 September and 4 November.

Singer, composer and lyricist Parth Srivastava is in the middle of his first headline tour. Named Kahaniyan, after one of his tracks, it opened at antiSOCIAL in Mumbai on 30 September, reaches The Piano Man in Delhi on 25 October and ends at The High Spirits in Pune on 4 November.
Vanmayi Productions is producing the tour and JRNY Entertainment manages it. Tickets are on District.
The set
Each night runs about 90 minutes with a live band. Srivastava has said the shows will bring together the two sides of his recorded music, the acoustic songs and the bigger, more produced ones.
The venues tell you where he is in his career. These are club rooms rather than arenas, the right size for an artist whose following has grown song by song on streaming and is now being tested in person.
Law school and Shankar Mahadevan
Srivastava is from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and took up music early. At 17 he performed alongside Shankar Mahadevan, which he credits with convincing him to make music his career. He then moved to Mumbai to study law and qualified as an advocate, writing and recording the whole time.
His releases, mostly through T-Series, include "Uljhan", "Jaane Jaan", "Tu Jaise Dariya" and "Khoye Naina". The writing moves between Hindi and Punjabi, set to pop arrangements with a cinematic sweep.
"Uljhan" reached No. 7 on Spotify's India Viral chart, his team says. He was named Best Non-Film Artist of the Year 2024 at the RMIM Puraskar.
In his words
Srivastava's statement about the tour is endearingly unpolished. "I am very excited for the tour," he said, thanking fans and family for their support. "I am looking forward to performing for my people in all the three cities in my first ever tour. I am very much excited, yet nervous."
He also made his ambitions plain, saying he hopes to make more songs and "soon deliver my artwork to the mainstream industry". It is an unusually frank line for a tour announcement, and it suggests the club dates are a step rather than a destination.
